My New Office

Until October 20, I am working for the Martha’s Vineyard Museum (formerly the Dukes County Historical Society) as assistant lighthouse keeper to the Edgartown Light. Since I’m the only one there, I am not sure to whom I am assistant, unless it is to the lighthouse itself, but that would make me an assistant lighthouse, and although I’d like to think of myself as a tall, bright woman, I am neither tall enough nor bright enough to pass as a lighthouse, assistant or otherwise.
