Can I beat writer’s block twice in one week?

A continuing experiment to combat writer’s block: If I put into public space (by blogging) a promise to myself to write Thing X by Deadline Y, will I then do it?
It helped the other day with a 6-page scene from my current project. (Caveat: it was set in a brothel, which made it fun to write)
Let’s see if that approach works a second time.
I have a very crazed few days ahead of me, so – today being Thursday – I am giving myself until Monday evening, to pull together the rest of the chapter I am working on. If I reach my goal, Iago will have finished training as an artilleryman and then been coerced into leaving the artillery to join the army. He will have had a reunion with a significant childhood friend. He will have caught a glimpse of a soon-to-be-significant young woman.
